Activities for Youth program

Mill House completed. This is a back view with iron doors and windows made by Olosipa welders. House is made from burnt brick and will be cement plastered; to R is small room for a youth office.

Mill house completed – front view with plastered wall and gate toward road where customers will enter to grind corn.

Olosipa Youth Group Welding Activities

Olosipa welders Mika and Fred making iron frame for front steps of mill house. They use the ground to weld iron pieces rather than table, and neither have goggles when welding.

Welding work continues with Mika and Denis

Mika, kneeling with plaid shirt is head welder, Fred and Denis assistants and trainees.

Amani, experienced welder on ground and Denis preparing a window frame for a customer.

Amani continues with window making. His basic welding equipment is blue welding machine and grinder to cut iron. He has no goggles & works on ground. When welding, he holds down iron rods with hands.

Lalola in kaki outfit (L) is a plumber repairing the water system in back of mill house, while Fred, in blue shirt R works on the welding.
