Training in book-keeping

This activity was repeatedly done during monthly visits.The techniques involve daily records based on a simple double entry system that shows daily money received, money spent and the balance columns. The knowledge on financial records was delivered to cover grinding mills, small businesses and other projects that women groups are engaged in. Record keeping was found helpful by many women as these simplify their work and increase business memory for both individual women and entire groups.

Other topics that were covered during training include;

  • Keeping of records
  • Managing records
  • Daily/Monthly records
  • Book keeper duties
  • Regular bookkeeping merits
  • Membership records
